Η 96η τελετή απονομής των βραβείων Oscar 2024 πραγματοποιήθηκε το βράδυ της Κυριακής 10 Μαρτίου (στις 03:00 τα ξημερώματα Δευτέρας στην Ελλάδα), στο Dolby Theater του Los Angeles.
Οικοδεσπότης της βραδιάς ήταν ο Jimmy Kimmel, ο οποίος ανέλαβε αυτόν τον ρόλο για τέταρτη φορά στην καριέρα του. Θυμίζουμε ότι η τελετή των Oscar μεταδόθηκε και φέτος ζωντανά από την Cosmote TV.
Ηχηρή ήταν η παρουσία του Γιώργου Λάνθιμου και του "Poor Things". Η ταινία του Έλληνα σκηνοθέτη που συγκέντρωσε 11 υποψηφιότητες απέσπασε 4 βραβεία με αποκορύφωμα τη νίκη της Emma Stone στην κατηγορία Α' Γυναικείου ρόλου.
Το απόλυτο φαβορί "Oppenheimer" ηγήθηκε της κούρσας των φετινών Oscars και από τις 13 υποψηφιότητες διακρίθηκε στις 7 κερδίσζοντας το βραβείο Καλύτερης Ταινίας.
